What does a firetruck do for water if there aren’t any hydrants nearby? We have to draft. That is putting a large hose into a pond, river swimming pool, or whatever else is around for water and sucking the water from that source, into the firetruck. We ran some training exercises on this over the last week. and at the same time, we used our smooth bore nozzles that are going to be put on the trucks. Overall, a great day to do some training where we get a little wet.
